One of his detox strategies that can be done by anyone is called the Cilantro Detox, which simply involves eating 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro per day, for two weeks. This delicious herb works to “remove heavy metals (and probably some chemical toxins)” from the tissues.
Once the heavy metals are released from the tissues, they must be removed quickly from the body. Enter Bentonite Clay, which Ballentine says will bind with heavy metals and escort them out through the bowels. Bentonite clay can be found at any health food store. Simply stir a tablespoonful into a glass of water, and drink it down on an empty stomach. This is to be done every day for two weeks during the cilantro detox, preferably first thing in the morning.
Another fan of edible clay is Mark Sircus, OMD, who states on the OMVA website: “Clay maintains its molecular integrity; it does not break down and assimilate into the body. It maintains a molecular whole as it passes through the body acting like a vacuum cleaner or sponge carrying poisons out of the body.”

should children and teens use a smaller dose?
Wouldn't hurt to cut the dosage in half for anyone under 12.
also should the cilantro be taken throughout the day or eaten in one setting?
Generally it is recommended to measure out a quarter cup of cilantro, and then eat it from the cup or on top of a meal. Not throughout the day.
