Ontario Power Generation is proposing to build an underground Nuclear Waste Dump approximately 400 metres from Lake Huron. No scientist can guarantee that this Nuclear Waste Dump will not leak.
Burying nuclear waste that remains radioactive for over 100,000 years beside such an important water source simply defies common sense. Approval of this dump could happen in 9 short months.
Not only are the Great Lakes the source of drinking water for 40 million people in Canada and the US, they serve as an important water source for organic farmers in many communities.
