Aromatherapy, with its essential oils, delivers numerous medicinal compounds in a delicate balance to support and heal the body
The rising popularity of natural treatments like Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and Aromatherapy is linked to our modern society’s quest for holistic approaches from nature. Natural medicine is gaining more recognition as more people are searching for better health.
Aromatherapy, with its essential oils, delivers numerous medicinal compounds in a delicate balance to support and heal the body. Nature’s complex molecules evolved over millions of years and remain a mystery to modern medicine which often focuses on synthetic molecules developed in labs – those that can be patented.
Natural medicine is rooted in the laws of nature and in spiritual principles, and its practitioners are grounded in careful observation of natural laws. This way, ancient principles from the plant kingdom turn into holistic healing approaches. For instance, in Ayurveda, with its three doshas and five sub-doshas, we see nature’s order and structure mirrored. This pattern echoes the Fibonacci sequence found in the plant kingdom (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 etc.).
While this complexity remains a mystery, we can marvel at the underlying intelligent life force in the universe, as beautifully articulated by Albert Einstein: ‘The Human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library filled with books from floor to ceiling in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books, but does not know how. The child does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement – a mysterious order, which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects.”
Ayurveda and Aromatherapy can lead us to new discoveries in this vast library of the beyond, giving us a glimpse into the mysteries of the universe. They can contribute to our well-being and the health and happiness of our communities.
It’s time to return to the Natural age-old healing methods that have accompanied human evolution on this planet for hundreds of thousands of years. We’ve reached the peak of our arrogance and ignorance by assuming true medicine and healing involves monopolizing healthcare with expensive synthetic drugs.
Instead, we should prioritize Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) in our universities based on the healing gifts that nature has provided us. Medicinal plants, with their immense healing potential, have been humanity’s way of healing disease and restoring human health for thousands of years. Why change this?
We need a new paradigm to understand health and disease. Ayurveda and Aromatherapy, along with some more recent healing methods, respect the wisdom of our ancestors and are being integrated into a new form of complementary medicine (CAM). We’re embracing a profound connection with the wisdom passed down through the ages, redefining the concept of Time as an essential element in our healing journey.
Through direct engagement with the Plant Kingdom, as facilitated by practices like Aromatherapy and Ayurveda, we tap into an innate intuition and gain insight into nature’s profound wisdom, which in turn deepens our genuine well-being. Plants, in their profound interconnection with the cosmos and their nurturing disposition toward all life forms, instill in us a deep reverence and love for their essence. They release the boundless intelligence of nature and the Creative Spirit that underlies everything and provide us with healing medicine.
Throughout centuries, humanity has received messages of healing that touch every facet of existence through contact with these subtle realms of creation. As our awareness expands, we are naturally drawn to explore new dimensions of health and healing, with medicinal plants as our steadfast allies in this remarkable healing journey.
