Organized by the World Neem Organization, the “WNO-Neem Summit 2024” was attended by delegates from around the world

I am thrilled to announce the resounding success of the WNO-Neem Summit 2024, held on February 19th and 20th at the prestigious ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research & NASC) at the National Agricultural Science Complex, DPS Marg, in New Delhi, India. Organized by the esteemed WNO – World Neem Organization, Mumbai, India, this event marked the 2nd annual WNO Seminar, themed “Neem for Sustainable Agriculture, Health, and Environment,” alongside the 3rd Global Neem Trade Fair.

Compared to previous conferences in 2012 and 2018, this Neem conference was unparalleled in its impact and engagement.

As a proud core-founding member of the WNO representing North America, the UK, Germany, and the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, I had the honour of attending as a Keynote speaker. My presentation, featuring a “Neem PowerPoint Slide Show” was warmly received by over 250 participants, including academics, scientists, and neem researchers.

The event also featured 22 companies from India and abroad, showcasing their products at the Global Neem Trade Fair. Over the course of the 2-day program, 7 technical sessions provided ample opportunity for in-depth discussions and knowledge exchange.

Klaus Ferlow was presented with the “International Neem Persona” Award by the World Neem Organization during the conference

In addition to my speaking engagement, I had the privilege of being interviewed numerous times by newspaper and radio reporters, who showed keen interest in both of my neem books: the third edition of my award-winning book, “Neem: Nature’s Healing Gift to Humanity”; and my latest release, “Neem: The Tree that Heals Nations.”

To my utmost surprise and gratitude, I was bestowed with the prestigious “International Neem Persona” Award by the WNO – World Neem Organization during the conference, a moment I will cherish forever.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the WNO-Neem Summit 2024. Your dedication to advancing neem research and advocacy is truly commendable.

What makes the Neem Tree worthy to be named “The Tree of the 21st Century” by the United Nations?

Klaus Ferlow, HMH, HA
For thousands of years, humans have sought to fortify their health and cure ills with herbal remedies. The search for the true panacea, or cure-all, has been undertaken by virtually every civilization. While hundreds of substances have been tried and tested, only one has truly withstood modern scientific scrutiny.

Perhaps no botanical better meets the true definition of a panacea than the miraculous and versatile medicinal Neem Tree (Azadirachta indica A. Juss), a tropical evergreen tree belonging to the mahogany family. It is a native of India and Myanmar, and is known by Indian citizens as “The Village Pharmacy.”

Of all plants that have been proven useful throughout the ages, few have offered as much value and versatility as the Neem tree. With growing research supporting its benefits and healing properties, Neem is finally getting the attention it deserves!

The Life of Neem – named “Arista” in Sanskrit – means perfect, complete and imperishable. This is truly ANCIENT WISDOM for a MODERN WORLD!
