The I AM Presence – God is WithinGord Riddell and Kathy Ryndak RSS November 1, 2012
Honouring the I AM presence is very spiritually current and means that you understand that God or the Divine is within you and that you are part of God. Dr. Wayne Dyer, in his latest book, Wishes Fulfilled, has made this concept very popular, although it dates as far back as the Old and New Testaments.
Dyer goes as far as saying “You are God” and “you and God are equal.” This belief must be proclaimed from a totally egoless state and come from Source. We cannot state this from the ego, whatsoever, as we would just become messianic, grandiose, and abuse power. Dyer does not believe it is blasphemous to say we are God but instead acknowledges that this is our true Divine nature. To grasp this concept, we need to go beyond old religious paradigms created by the human ego that God is outside of us, punitive and wrathful.
Old and New Testaments
There are several verses in the Old and New Testaments that recognize this, the most well-known being, “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). It is very important to understand the “Be still” part of this psalm. When we are ‘still’ or centred and free of mind chatter we are able to connect to I AM presence and Source. On the other hand, when our awareness is arising from our negative ego this connection is weakened.
Here are a few more Biblical quotes that allude to the I AM connection:
“…he who abides in love, abides in God and God in him.” (1 John 4:16)
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him…” (Genesis 1:27)
“And God said unto Moses, ‘I Am That I Am… this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations’.” (Exodus 3:14-15) This latter quote conveys the essence of the I AM presence which galvanizes God into action for you.
St. Germain Discourses
From 1932 to 1935, the famous “I AM” Discourses Volume 3 was dictated to Godfre Ray King by the Ascended Masters St. Germain, Jesus, and others who were channeled as a visible sound and light ray to him. St. Germain said, “When you say and feel ‘I AM’ you release the spring of eternal, everlasting life to flow… When you say I AM not, you shut the door in the face of this mighty energy.”
Great light was dispensed to release freedom, peace, illumination, and perfect divine order for the eternal Golden Age to occur on this planet.
Cultivating I AM
When souls transition to the other side and a higher expression of life they are ensconced in the pure light and love of God and are always in ‘Source energy.’ Just imagine how wonderful this would feel! You can foster this connection more in your everyday life by being more conscious and aware of it. It is in you, not outside of you. It can easily be accessed through the higher heart chakra or thymus by putting your hand on your heart. Saying the vowel sound ‘ah’ also helps.
The practice of gratitude keeps us in this high vibrational state and the present moment. We are grateful for what we have in the here and now. We are not longing for what we don’t have in the future. We are enough!
The practice of the Buddhist tradition mitri also cultivates I AM. This involves having unconditional loving kindness towards ourselves. When we are kind to ourselves, it is easier to be kind to others.
When we have an appreciation for beauty and all of God’s creations we are in this divine energy. Make it a daily practice to see beauty everywhere whether you are in the city or in nature. Surround yourself with beautiful colours and music that uplifts you. The esoterics say that the ‘other side’ is resplendent with beautiful colours and sounds that we have never imagined. You can bring more heavenly energies to earth. When we acknowledge that God is in everyone and every living thing we are surrounded by the Divine. We become one with it and know that it is the I AM that connects us to all. We become more permanently aware. The more we practice the I AM state, the more it will evolve in us and the stronger the connection will be. In this energy, we feel safe and protected and ‘all is well.’ We view our problems differently and are able to move through adversity with more ease and grace. As Louise L. Hay says, “Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will come. I am safe.”
You can empower your affirmations by using the I AM prefix. For example, if you feel you live in scarcity consciousness, affirm I AM prosperous; I AM abundant. We must feel this and have gratitude for this in the present moment and as if this already exists in us to attract this to us. It is also powerful to state your name before the quality that you want to manifest: I AM Kathy; I AM prosperous.
We never want to use a negative after I AM, such as I am sick. Instead, as Scripture notes, “Let the weak say, I am strong” (Joel 3:10). We also don’t want to state things in the future tense such as “I will be healthy.” Neville Goddard in his book, Feeling is the Secret, states: “To feel I will be is to confess I am not; your wish must be felt as a state that is rather than a state that is not.”
Connecting to the I AM presence will make you adept at co-creating what you desire with the universe. This is different than manifesting from the ego. Dyer says that as long as we are coming from Source, co-creating your wishes will be fulfilled. He says we should begin and end each day with using I AM statements and the feeling quality of the attributes you want to embody like they are already yours.
We can live a golden age within on Earth by being more consistently in a state of the I AM energy. We can become endowed with gifts of spirit and live with more grace. We can experience more joy and love with this connection as we affirm, “I AM joy, love, and grace.” The Sacred Human and New Earth has, indeed, been birthed!
