Try Salus® Red Beet Crystals for a Quick Nutritional Boost

Try Red Beet Crystals

Adding these beet crystals to your meals is an easy way to boost vitamin, mineral, and fibre intake

Are you missing out on one of the world’s most nutritious vegetables? Many people have been avoiding beets since childhood or have never even tried this highly beneficial food. Beets provide many types of antioxidants for immune support and they have a high nitrate content, which plays a positive role in blood circulation. Nitrate is broken down by saliva into nitrites, which then turn into nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide is a gaseous, signaling molecule that is beneficial in small amounts as it causes blood vessels to relax.

Beets are highly alkaline, so they can help reduce acidity in the body to support a healthy pH balance. High acidity can be caused by stress and environmental toxins in our food, air and water as well as by the typical high-fat Western diet that relies heavily on processed foods. Red beets are often recommended by dieticians because they provide low-fat dietary fibre to benefit the digestive and elimination systems.

When it comes to weight loss, beets can be very useful because they are low in calories, yet high in fibre, so they satisfy the appetite and help cut down on overeating. Free of saturated fat and trans fat, the natural, unprocessed carbohydrates in beets are readily converted into energy to help fuel the body and increase stamina.

Beets contain minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, copper, phosphorous, manganese and potassium – while the vitamin content includes A, B1, B2, B6, C and folate, which is highly recommended for pregnant women because it is crucial for the growth of healthy red blood cells in the baby.

Incorporating beets into your daily diet is now easier than ever. Recently introduced to North America, Salus® Red Beet Crystals are an instantly soluble form of concentrated red beets. Since red beets are naturally sweet, no sugar is added. The crystals are made from organic beets and are freshly pressed within three hours of harvesting.

Salus® Red Beet Crystals contain no alcohol or other preservatives. They are produced with a unique extraction process that does not use heat, solvents or additives. The result is 100% natural red beet crystals that contain all of the active constituents of the plant. These red beet crystals are eight times as concentrated by weight as regular beet juice, so 100 mg of beet crystals are like 800 mg of beet juice. Each 200 gram jar contains the equivalent of 2.5 kg of fresh-pressed organic beets.

Adding these delicious red beet crystals to your meals and snacks is an easy way to boost your vitamin, mineral, antioxidant and fibre intake. Simply dilute the crystals in water or your favourite fruit or vegetable juice and serve. Salus® Red Beet Crystals can also be eaten directly from the jar or blended into power shakes, smoothies, milk products, soups, casseroles or muesli and other cereals. You can even sprinkle the red beet crystals on carrot cake and other desserts. The use of these flavourful, nutritious beet crystals is limited only by the imagination.

Salus® Red Beet Crystals are distributed in Canada by Flora Manufacturing and Distributing Ltd, and are available in health food stores across the country. For more information visit:

I love your column on Beets. I really enjoy beets, pickled beets, and beet crystals. Is taking a T, or teaspoon of beet crystals, daily, going to hurt my system with Sodium? That is what I am afraid of, because it looks like pickled beets are rather high in Na. So, if I could have your comments on this, please, I would so much appreciate it!
    Thanks kindly,
    Best regards,

Beet crystals contain no fibre as the fibre is removed in the process of making crystals.

I just bought some and they do taste very good. And Beat Crystal User is correct, there is no fibre in this container nor other vitamins they list in the column. Only 8 carbs per serving and 55 mg of sodium. I’m not sure what this is good for if all the good stuff is not in it.
