Creating Magic and Miracles in Your Everyday LifeGord Riddell and Kathy Ryndak RSS February 21, 2014
Do you remember when you were a child and life’s smallest moments could engage and delight you in the most enchanting way? I believed in magic, angels, and fairies when I was a small girl, and I still do. I remember playing with energy with my sister, jumping up and down on our beds. We were able to vividly see energy, or prana, and would try to catch it but it would slip right through our hands. Then both of us, through the power of intention, would change the colour or the shape of the energy and giggle in awe and delight. This is one of my favourite childhood memories because it confirmed to me that magic does exist.
By magic, I don’t mean childish magical thinking or that all of sudden we will be walking on water or changing water into wine, although magic and miracles are closely related.
What is a Magical Life?
Despite all of your struggles, lessons, challenges and moments of darkness you still find joy and magic in life and the moment. We approach life with a sense of wonderment, curiousity, enchantment, delight and the playfulness and creativity of a child. Usually, magic comes from the simplest of things and is free. We may be in awe of a moment of synchronicity that the universe creates for us. We see beauty in every living thing and this brings us great delight – a baby smiling, a puppy playing or a lovely flower that brings us joy. We experience more heavenly energies in our daily lives.
Magic is also another word for using intention and vision and, when aligned to Source, we co-create something wonderful in our life. We are able to manifest for the highest good and others benefit from what we co-create.
The archetypes involved in living a magical life are the Magical Child, White Magician and Sacred Human. Your Magical Child is the part of you that is spiritual, creative, intuitive and fun. By White Magician, we mean “are you a good witch” as opposed to “a bad witch?”. Glinda, the good witch from “The Wizard of Oz,” said to Dorothy: “You had the power all along, my dear.”
Our power through the White Magician is operating when we use our gifts of spirit, intuition and our ability to manifest only for the highest good with integrity. Our Sacred Human is aligned with our soul (vs ego), lives in oneness, and comes from the mystical heart with love, not fear.
Some of the most important spiritual leaders and scientists of modern day believe(d) in magic and miracles. We would like to share some of our favourite quotes to add gravitas to what some may think is a frivolous topic.
Magical and Miraculous Ideas
Einstein said “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” One of his most famous quotes was: “The most important question a person can ask is, Is the universe a friendly place?” If you believe the universe is friendly vs. hostile, it will respond to you in this way. It will conspire with you and support you in what you wish to create. The universe wants to work in your favour and will help to correct your path when you veer off course. Emerson stated, “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
We have always thought that our Transformational Arts College is a miracle! We concocted the perfect potion to attract the right teachers, staff and students through divine guidance and by holding a vision with unlimited possibilities.
Thich Nhat Hahn notes that miracles happen everywhere. He states: “Around us, life bursts with miracles. If we live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere.” The key here is living in the present moment.
When, in contrast to being non-aware and having it go fleeting by unnoticed, we are present, we are able to realize that a little miracle just happened in our life. An important part of magic is seeing and appreciating the beauty in people and in the simplest things.
Invite Magic Into Your Life
You can invite magic and miracles into your life every day by holding this intention. Dr. Wayne Dyer says, “I am realistic. I expect miracles.” As gratitude acts like a magnet, when you do have a magical moment remember to thank the Divine in order to attract more magic, miracles and abundance to you. Invite your Magical Child to appreciate it for he or she will feel a deep sense of awe and wonderment around this creation. Higher octave emotions are also magnetic and allow more to flow to us.
Dyer embellishes this thought by stating, “Once you believe in yourself and see your soul as divine and precious, you’ll automatically be converted to a being that can create miracles.” This will be enhanced for us when we stay connected with Source and come from the I AM presence acknowledging that God is within us.
Mahatma Gandhi noted “There is a force in the universe which, if we permit, will flow through us and produce miraculous results.” It is important for us to be open and allow this energy to move through us without great expectation around it. Trust in it and have faith and hope. Don’t try to control it; let the universe work its magic. You will have many more eureka moments of synchronicity and outcomes that you did not think were possible. Remember that the universe can create infinite possibilities through your intentions.
You are a magical being and may not realize this. Kahlil Gibran, author of The Prophet states, “The appearance of things changes according to your emotions and thus we see the magic in them, while the magic and beauty are really in ourselves.” When you own this, you will see magic and miracles wherever you go. Through the law of attraction and the practice of gratitude you will only attract more magic.
Remember that we each own a pair of ruby shoes that, when clicked with the right intention, bring magic and goodness into our life.
